coffee shouldn't buzz and other random observations

I have spent the weekend divided between doing my readings, complaining about my readings, watching bad television, and trying to figure out what to knit. It's not that I don't have options; it's that I have too many. Therefore, today's post will be a random collection of things I noticed during the past 3 days.

1. Coffee shouldn't buzz. Mine does. I hypothesize that this is a result of a strange chemical reaction between the Splenda and the espresso. If I'm wrong, please don't tell me. Mine's more fun.

2. I am, if left to my own devices, capable of consuming large amounts of diet coke, chocolate, and milk. I have deduced this from the fact that my grocery list perpetually has these items on it stemming from the realization that I don't have any left in the house.

3. Hand-washing every sweater one owns on the same day, at the same time, in a bachelor apartment with limited space that is further cramped by the presence of three furry creatures who like to nap on clean clothes, is a Very Bad Idea.

Note to self: Add #3 to personal handbook of bad ideas for future reference.

4. The yarn/roving/fibery object of lust of the moment will be there tomorrow. And if it's not, something better will be. Honest.

5. Sea silk has the remarkable ability to make you stark-raving mad, trying to come up with a project that is worthy of it. I really want to try Eunny's Arrowhead Pullover, but she's being all uncooperative like and hasn't published it yet. I'm thinking it's not a good idea to attempt designing, shaping, and knitting an entirely lace garment all in one go.

6. Superbowl Sunday == abso-freakin-lutely nothing interesting on television today.

7. When bored, I make lists. Like this one. Yeah.
